My wife Paola and I have relied on Raaj Kapilla to plan and orchestrate
three visits to three different areas of India, and we can only say that
his efforts on our behalf redefined what it means to "go beyond the call of
duty." But that's not the half of it. Yes, the quality, convenience and
comprehensiveness of his services are important and distinctive. But even
more important - and THE reason we will always work with him when we
visit India - is his amazing ability to fix things when they go wrong, as they
often do when one travels in India.
Time and again, when we confronted a situation that threatened to disrupt
Our trips - a cancellation, a lost reservation, an errant guide - we would
call Raaj, often late at night, and he would somehow make things right.
You can breathe a lot easier - and enjoy your travels a lot more –
when Raaj Kapilla is on your side.

Linda and Mark
Mark and I would like to thank you for making our recent trip to India so memorable. The attention to detail was as always perfect, all internal flights;
transfers and hotel bookings went extremely smoothly, the standard of the guides was very high and they were all most obliging and
happy to accommodate our business side of the trip, escorting us to various antique shops.
Thank you especially for organizing the evening of our 25th wedding anniversary, it was a wonderful evening and one which neither of us will forget, particularly as we have the DVD to remind us!
Thank you once again and we look forward to visiting your beautiful country again very soon.

In august 2002, Raaj Kapilla, made of our 5 week holidays in India an unforgettable experience.
RAAJ KAPILA, not only knows his country perfectly, but he loves it and he loves the people (travellers)
we are and he gives his guests the best of INDIA in any field they may wish.
The whole team took care of us, as we could not have dreamed of.
They are all high professionals and we can rely on them 24 hours/7 days.
They will find very quickly an alternative solution to any unexpected event, such as a late flight cancellation by the air company.
They will respond even to the most foolish demand, people sometimes asks,
because their main concern is to please you. We can attest that guests are not only guests but friends.
We shall come back soon to see all of you again and to enjoy more of Great India."
Ganesh bless all of you.

"I have known Raaj Kapilla since 1994, and I have booked three Indian holidays with him
as ground agent. He has arranged trips for me to the cities and National Parks of Rajasthan, a journey from Chennai to Goa through Tamil Nadu and Karnataka,
and most recently a tour of the Himalayan foothills, including Corbett NP.
Throughout, his personal attention to detail and willingness to cater for our exact (and sometimes unusual) requirements has been commendable.
I would not hesitate to recommend him and his services to any visitor to India.

"Raaj organised a fabulous tour of the major towns of Rajashtan, we
wanted to stay in a mix of accomodation from the very grand to the
clean and comfortable. He did a terrific job, we had a car with a very
helpful driver this, plus Raaj's extensive knowledge of the state ensured
a very enjoyable and trouble free experience. We travelled with
our small child and had the most amazing adventure."

I traveled to India as a working journalist. That means one cannot afford to
miss a connection or fail to make an appointment. Excuses simply won't do.
Ask any editor. I've also traveled the world, from war zones to world capitals.
The travel services provided me - from Delhi to Calcutta to points far and
wide across India - by Raaj Kapilla and his expert colleagues was
exceptional. I made my deadlines around the world. I was able to concentrate
on my duties as a journalist and not have to worry about getting where I
needed to be. I traveled in comfort and on schedule. Mr. Kapilla is a real professional.
Also, I am from Texas, where we pride ourselves on our hospitality. Raaj Kapilla made me feel very much
at ease and showed me true Indian hospitality.

Dear Raaj,
Thank you so much for your email and the Video now received.
We viewed the Video last evening. What a splendid idea of yours. Although we remember with great pleasure our trip to India and your attentiveness to our well-being the Video vividly brought back all the colour and splendour of the trip.
It was a indeed a wonderful and memorable experience made even more so by your care and attention so courteously given to our every need. You excelled yourself and whomsoever takes advantage of your services ,so sincerely provided, not as a tour operator but more as friend, will indeed ,we are sure, feel as we do.
Thank you again, so much, for organising such a ‘magic’ India trip.
With all good wishes,

Dear Raaj,
On behalf of Margaret and I, I would like to thank you most sincerely for making our short trip to Delhi, Jaipur, and Agra so memorable. We had a wonderful time, and your immaculate organization, attention to detail and thoughtful attentiveness all made it very special for us. We have memories I am sure we will treasure for many years. It was also a great pleasure to meet your family.
Thanks also for your tireless work to make the HEDP CONFERENCE a SUCCESS – everyone commented on how well it was all organized, and how you attended to their needs. It was very reassuring to have such professional support for the week – you can be sure we will want you to help with any further meetings we hold in India.
Again, thank you very much, and we look forward to seeing you again, either in India, or in the UK when you are next over.

Ms Kim Redman
Regional Director
(MIDDLE EAST COUNCIL OF SHOPPING CENTRES- DUBAI)
Raaj and his team at Greater India Tours organized a marvelous 10 day trip
through Rajhastan. From the personalised meet and greet service at the
airport on our arrival in Delhi complete with fragrant flower garlands
through to our final day of departure the trip was a wonderful odyssey
through one of India's most fascinating regions. Raaj's personal attention
to detail is flawless and he made sure that every component of our holiday
was perfect.
The best part for me was that I was traveling with my parents
who are in their 70's and not in the best of health. Before arriving in
India I was a little concerned how things would go for them. However I need
not have worried. Raaj made sure that they were accommodated and taken care
of like VVIP's wherever we went.
"It was a magical trip and one that we will remember for years to come."

Raaj,
Thank you very much for your hospitality during our stay in Mumbai. You are a gracious and knowledgable host. I very much enjoyed our dinner conversation Saturday night. It must have been difficult for you to be apart from your family for that period of time, and we appreciate this sacrifice.
Best wishes to you for continued success with your business.

Hi Raaj,
Just wanted to say thanks to you for all the time and great
attention that you paid to our many needs during our recent conference in
Mumbai. For most of us, it was our first visit to India and your help and
advice was invaluable to us in ensuring that we obtained maximum benefit
from the experience. India is a complex and very different place from any
other that I have visited and it was fascinating to hear your explanations
about the way that society operates and many other insights into the
culture.
Thanks, Raaj, and I hope that one day, in the not too
distant future, I can use your services again on a personal basis in order
to see more and learn more about your vast and enthralling country in
holiday mode.

Raaj, well I finally finished a CD of my trip to India. I'm sending it to
you by air. There are way too many pictures but it gives a nice slide show
(it has the Picasa software from Google built in).
I'll also send a copy to Lisa who I believe should be returning home
shortly.
We had a wonderful trip. The week that you arranged, Raaj, will be indelible
on our minds for many years to come. India is different in a most
spectacular way. And the thoughtful itinerary, accommodations and overall
hospitality was greatly appreciated. I've traveled over much of the globe
over the years and I haven't had a better tour manager.
Also give my very special best wishes to our driver, Poppy, for his infinite
patience, skill and thoughtfulness.
Many thanks and best wishes for your continued success.

Thank you Raaj for such a memorable trip! You were truely a 'cool dad'
making it a smooth & amazing journey through North India and Nepal, which
were both life long dreams of mine.
You listened to our budget and the places we wanted to see and fit them into
a magical trip. Further, you were able to read our different personalities
and please us both!
Being an outdoor & animal lover, I really enjoyed horseback riding in
Udaipur, hiking in Nepal and the camel safari at Osian, Of course,
Varanassi has made an impression that touched my soul!
It was a truely amazing experience I will have for a lifetime. Now that I
have seen & felt India, I hope to come back and deepen it even more through
my love for the culture, food, and spiritual practices.
I have attached a few photos from Jaipur, Nepal and the Taj Mahal. Let me
know if you recieve them OK.

They will be good ambassador's for India. Thank you, thank you, for making this trip a once in a life time for the Youde's. Although they did say they are thinking family trips every two years may be in order, as they had such a good time together. Dr. Stephen Huyler
Raaj Kapilla is a delightful human being whose knowledge, expertise and fascination with Indian travel is unexcelled.
I have had the good fortune of traveling in India for 33 years in the pursuit of my profession as a researcher,
photographer and writer. During that time I have also led many tours, several of which have been organized by Raaj
and his organization. I can say unqualifiedly that he is a superb person for this job: deeply honest and reliable,
good natured, flexible and persistent in meeting his client's needs. He knows India like that back of his hand.
You can rely upon him to give you the best tour possible. If you are lucky enough to actually travel with him,
your trip will be a joy.

Clay is essential to Indian culture past and present. It is accessible everywhere;
it takes form with very little effort; and its fragility assures its constant renewal.
It has been the perfect vehicle for Indian creativity throughout the ages.
The shapes and styles of items made of clay, both fired and unfired, are innumerable.
They comprise everything from the miniscule to the gigantic, from simple to highly ornate, from realistic to abstract,
from purely practical to utterly fantastic.

Village India
Most of our limited knowledge of South Asia is focused upon cities and royal cultures, yet close to 80%
of the population of India still lives in villages. This first and, as yet,
only general survey of the peoples and cultures of rural India is written in a very intimate and approachable manner.
The text is enriched by 200 black and white and 100 color photographs. It is, unfortunately, out of print.
